Maintenance buyers should test what technicians do during a loss of service, how work state is protected, and how delayed evidence is reconciled after reconnection.
Ramco presents an EAM lifecycle spanning planning, acquisition, deployment, management, and retirement. Closing a retirement proposal still requires separate proof of operating-state authority, physical decommissioning, custody and disposition, environmental or legal obligations, fixed-asset derecognition, and any replacement approval.
ManWinWin says customers receive an API for integrating with other applications and presents maintenance requests, work orders, purchasing, inventory, cost, and budget functions. An inbound API event still needs source identity, asset matching, demand triage, authorization, duplicate control, and result evidence before it becomes trusted maintenance work.

An insight can prioritize investigation, but it does not prove the failure mode, remaining life, production consequence, or correct intervention.
IBM presents Maximo as a connected environment for asset performance, condition-based maintenance, work, risk, cost, and investment scenarios. Condition evidence can change the decision, but maintain, refurbish, replace, defer, or retire remains an accountable portfolio choice with service, safety, financial, and uncertainty boundaries.
MaintainX presents mobile work-order creation, assignment, tracking, procedures, and maintenance communication. Closing that administrative record can show workflow completion, but restored function still needs acceptance evidence tied to the asset, task, and accountable operator.
Oracle's current Maintenance documentation separates the program, work requirement, forecast, and preventive work order. That chain can organize planned maintenance, but a due date or generated order does not establish execution, asset condition, safe return to service, or reliability outcome.
EPA’s Risk Management Program and OSHA’s Process Safety Management standard address chemical-accident prevention under different authorities, scopes, and records. A shared equipment list or CMMS plan cannot decide which program applies or merge their accountable duties.
ISO 55002:2018 provides guidance for applying ISO 55001 asset-management-system requirements. ISO 55000:2024 provides the asset-management overview, principles, and terms. ISO 55001 carries the management-system requirements, so buyers should not treat a 55000 reference as certification evidence or a substitute for operating records.
